Splat Lab!

Meet the crew that keeps the hill running.

Cooper and his friends help kids invent games, fix the unexpected, and test every ridiculous idea.

Should wetest it?
Cooper, Splat Lab's enthusiastic chicken scientist
Lab assistant

Cooper

He works at the lab. He is also, somehow, the lab's guinea pig.

He helps kids build games, then personally tests every ridiculous idea they invent.

Cheerful, battle-tested, and first in line when the cannon needs a volunteer.

“Should we test it?”

Cooper in a sunny hillside lab, giving a thumbs-up while holding a bubbling green flask beside blueprints, a wooden Cooper sign, and a plank that says Should we test it?
Cooper flying with a bubbling blue backpack in a wooden lab frame labeled Bubble-Powered Flight, over Green Hills cottages and waterfalls.
He has bubble-powered flight.
Lights at dusk

Rupert

His trade is dusk: pole, lamp, and a chalk mark on every post he lights.

If something on the hill is dark, sparking, or making a noise it definitely shouldn't be making, somebody has probably already called him. Rupert just loves helping people.

“I'll be there in ten.”

Rupert the lamplighter at dusk on a cobblestone path, holding a lantern and chalk beside a chalk crown post, village lamps, and a wooden sign that says I'll be there in ten.
Rupert launching a fireball from his lantern in a wooden frame labeled Lantern Fireballs.
His lamp shoots fireballs.
The planner

Jamie

He measures twice, checks the chart three times, and somehow already knows how this is going to play out.

While the rest of the crew improvises, Jamie has a plan.

“Frames houses by day. Frames trades by night.”

Jamie the carpenter chicken on a sunny construction frame, swinging a hammer beside blueprints, a tool belt, and a wooden Jamie sign that says Frames houses by day. Frames trades by night.
Jamie slamming his hammer into the ground in a wooden frame labeled Earthshaker Slam, with dirt and spare parts flying.
His hammer makes the earth shake.
Trouble with a plan

Vix

She comes from Virginia Manor, the nation of foxes. The chickens idolize her for some reason.

You didn't see her come in. You probably won't see her leave.

She likes shortcuts, locked doors, bad ideas, and knowing where the exit is before anyone else realizes they need one.

“Wasn't here.”

Vix the fox on a moonlit terraced village balcony, holding a smartphone beside crown banners, lantern-lit paths, and a wooden Vix sign that says Wasn't here.
Vix dashing so fast she leaves orange afterimages in a wooden frame labeled Lightning Dash.
She runs so fast she's a blur.
Full send

Lango

No fancy rig. No excuses.

With his beat-up laptop, an idea, and a problem everyone else called impossible, he'll disappear into the night.

By morning, something works that didn't before.

“Build. Break. Fix. Repeat. Full send.”

Lango coding on a beat-up laptop at a moonlit terraced village workbench, electric sparks in his crest, beside a wooden Lango sign and waterfalls.
Lango firing lightning from his glowing eyes in a wooden frame labeled Arc Surge.
Lightning shoots from his eyes.
Head in a book

Leenie

She reads everything: spellbooks, field guides, snack labels, and whatever notes the grown-ups thought they hid.

Quiet does not mean clueless. Leenie notices patterns before anyone else knows there is a pattern.

“Just one more chapter.”

Leenie, a brown-feathered hen with glasses, a cream sweater, and a satchel, holding a green book on a castle path beside a wooden Leenie sign.
Leenie whispering with a book in hand while nearby knights stand dazed with spiral eyes under her mind control.
Has the power of mind control.
